Jesus, in his healing ministry, lays a hand on a child held by his mother. Jesus is surrounded by a man with a bandaged head, one who comes aided by crutches and one in the lower right hand corner who is bent forward in pain. To the left is a container of oil regularly used as an aid in healing in Jesus' time. The cross to the right is entitled the Cross Potent, a symbol of healing. Any arm of the cross taken alone resembles a crutch.
